Bannock Bites:


  • 1 pint each blueberries, raspberries and blackberries from Mandair Farms

  • 1/4 cup and 1 tsp maple sugar from Maples Sugar Shack

  • 250 g spent grain flour from Susgrainable

  • 3 Tbsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • warm water as needed

  • 1 Tbsp cooking oil

  • 250 g Bear Crap granola from Whistler Granola

  • 1 handful of fresh mint


  1. Combine berries and 1 tsp of maple sugar in a bowl. Break apart mint leaves and add to berries.

  2. In a separate bowl pour 250 g of flour, add 3 Tbsp of baking powder and 1 tsp of salt and combine.

  3. Slowly add warm water a small bit at a time until a sticky batter forms.

  4. Heat a large pan over medium heat, once heated add a small amount of oil to grease and allow to heat for another few minutes. Spoon a large dollop of batter into the pan and cook until golden brown on either side.

  5. While the bannock is cooking, crush 250 g of Bear Crap granola into crumb-sized pieces.

  6. Spoon berry mixture onto bannock bites and top with a sprinkle of granola and enjoy!

Beet Salad:


  • 4 golden beets and 2 red beets from Plenty Wild Farms

  • cooking oil

  • salt to taste

  • 1 pack (approx 0.176 g) of buffalo feta from TESFA farms

  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes from Plenty Wild Farms

  • 50 g dried cherries from Snowy Mountain Organics

  • 50 g dried peaches from Snowy Mountain Organics

  • 50 g maple candied cashews from Maples Sugar Shack

  • Handful of fresh parsley from Plenty Wild Farms

  • 1 Tbsp of honey from Goldstrike Honeybee Co.


  1. Cube beets into 1” cubes

  2. Heat 1 Tbsp oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add golden beets and saute until tender (about 8 minutes); sprinkle with salt to taste. Repeat with red beets.

  3. Crumble buffalo feta into a bowl

  4. Quarter 1 pint of cherry tomatoes and set aside

  5. Chop 50 g or dried cherries, 50 g of dried peaches and crush 50 g of maple candied cashews

  6. Chop a handful of parsley

  7. Add dried fruit, nuts, cheese, parsley, tomatoes and 1 Tbsp of honey to beets and combine.

  8. Spoon onto a plate and enjoy!
